Book Week 2017- Escape to Everywhere
Book Week is the longest running children’s festival in Australia, beginning in 1945.
Book Week 2017 will run from August 18 – 26 with the theme Escape to Everywhere.

CBCA Book of The Year Awards 2017 Judges Nominations Closed
Judges will be appointed by the CBCA National Board Awards Committee for a term of two years to one category judging panel. The appointments will be made using the criteria and guidelines set out in the Judges Nomination document and the Awards Policy Requirements of service are also outlined in the aforementioned documents.
To nominate to be a 2017 Judge you must;
- complete the Judges Nomination Form
- be a financial member of a CBCA Branch
- be approved to work with children and vulnerable people and able to attach the relevant State approval documentation to your nomination form
- complete a Conflict of Interest Declaration Form
Judges will be selected from nomination forms submitted by Branches or individuals can self-nominate via awards@cbca.org.au Forms must be received by 18 December 2015 to be eligible.

Book Week 2015 – Books light up our world
Book Week is the longest running children’s festival in Australia, beginning in 1945.
Book Week 2015 will run from August 22 – 28 with the theme Books light up our world. This year is the 70th anniversary of Book Week. There will be a children’s seminar and dinner with guest authors and illustrators on August 26 2015.
The previously advertised literary dinner with Libby Hathorn will now be held on October 28 2015 in Children’s Week as Libby is unfortunately no longer unavailable on September 2 2015.
We will be holding a Book Week Highlights Competition from 21 August to 6 September 2015.
